Job Title: Pantry Case Manager FLSA: Non-Exempt
Department: Case Management Program
Accountability: Director of Case Management
Summary:
The Pantry Case Manager provides direct case management services to individuals and families who reside within the Boyertown Area Multi-Service (BAMS) coverage area that accesses pantry services. Duties include, but are not limited to, client intake and assessment, service planning and scheduling, provision of information and referral, program marketing and promotion, product ordering, and upkeep of required county and vendor documentation. The Pantry Case Manager, in concert with the case management team, will help clients address food insecurity and needs and work towards self-sufficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct intake and assessment of clients and their families applying for pantry services.
- Provide clients with referrals for internal and external resources, including employment and appropriate social services.
- Provide ongoing pantry case management to individuals and families.
- Maintain schedule for pantry appointments.
- Maintain accurate client records.
- Supervise pantry coordinator, pantry associates, and all pantry volunteers.
- Monitor staff caseloads and make recommendations to Executive Director (ED) regarding case assignments.
- Acquire an in-depth knowledge of community resources, and stay abreast of current social needs.
- Must speak at public community events, as assigned.
- Must work effectively with team members on shared projects, including conferences, community development initiatives, grants proposals, etc.
- Prepare progress reports for submission to ED and/or development team, for grant contract compliance and monthly updates to the Board of Directors.
- Complete, review and approve payment requests and supporting documents, as per agency policy, and grant requirements.
- Plan and execute all BAMS holiday and special pantry events.
- Assist with fundraising events as needed.
- Assist in the pantry to fulfill orders and complete distribution.
- Work with the case management department to ensure adequate coverage of needs and services.
- Occasionally assist other case managers in the completion of tasks.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Must pass all applicable clearances, including, but not limited to FBI, child abuse, and state police background checks, on a yearly basis.
- The ability to work in office and field settings is required.
- Must possess valid Driver’s License
Physical Demands:
- Notwithstanding applicable ADA accommodations, while performing the duties of this job, employee is regularly required to: sit, walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone.
- Use of hands to operate standard office equipment and electric pallet jack; with regular reaching and lifting up to 40-50 pounds is required.
- Ability to drive to various work settings is required.
Working conditions:
- General office setting, home visits, and visits within community settings.
- Must be willing/able to drive anywhere within the BAMS coverage area, and occasionally, outside the coverage area.
- Must be willing/able to travel to conferences, trainings, etc., when required by the ED or grant guidelines
- Must demonstrate respect and professionalism toward all clients, in all interactions
- Normal work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- May be required to work evenings weekly to accommodate agency functions, and/or to accommodate clients’ scheduling needs

- May occasionally be required to work additional hours above and beyond regularly scheduled hours
- When appropriate, assist clients with transportation, and delivery of material goods.
Educational Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Associates or Bachelors degree preferred
- BSW preferred
- Must complete any required Mandated Reporter Training (MRT) dictated by agency and/ or Commonwealth law.

Pay: $20.19 per hour
