FOOD PREP/COOK POSITION for Sandwich Shop - $22/hour incl. tips (La Jolla) Job at Deli-icious
Deli-icious has been in business for 30 years. Known as the "Local's Deli" as it is the place where locals come for reasonably priced breakfast burritos, breakfast sandwiches, delicious coffee, hot and cold sandwiches and salads.
We are a small shop so we need versatile people to take the position of Cook. The job primarily involves making the sandwiches and salads but because we are a small shop you will also share some duties with the Cashier (when they are on break or helping other customers). Other duties include prep, cleaning, making coffee, taking orders, etc.
Most importantly, you’ll need to be able to work in a team environment sometimes under pressure (during lunch) and pitch in where needed.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a similar environment, making primarily breakfast burritos and hot and cold sandwiches. We are somewhat flexible on work schedule - while we are looking for someone who can work a consistent schedule, that schedule can start early morning or later in the morning. You MUST be able to work at least one weekend shift (10-4 on weekends).
Pay starts at $18/hr. We share tips and you should expect $3-5/hr more for a total wage of around $21-23/hr. Please drop by the deli with your resume or contact us. Come join our fun little team.
