Food Processing Production Associate Job at Big West
We are a growing, family owned company looking for 2 full-time production associates ASAP to add to our growing team. You will work within a small team to package our product in a clean and safe manner while meeting our quality standards. Shift times are flexible and can fit most needs for your personal circumstances. This is a very fast paced position that requires you to be on your feet your whole shift, making the day go by quickly.
The ideal candidate will be able to read and understand written orders and respond quickly to work order changes that may happen through the work shift. You may be asked to help with other responsibilities around the warehouse including cleaning and order picking.
Responsibilities include:
- Carrying out daily/weekly/monthly objectives given by supervisors and Leads
- Safely and effectively operate machinery
- Ensure that work areas are clean and maintained at all times so that security of production workers is maintained
- Make specific adjustments to production machinery to ensure quality control and efficiency of production work
- Ensure that end products conform to quality and quantity standards of the company
- Assist in creating accurate production reports on a daily basis
Requirements:
- Reliable transportation
- The ability to obtain a food handlers card
- Great written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to stand on your feet for long periods of time
- Able to lift 30lbs.
Hours: 30-35 hours per week available depending on personal availability
Shifts: We run production from 6am-8pm so there are a variety of shifts available
