Harvest Table Culinary Group at Brandeis University is seeking a energetic and forward thinking Hospitality Services Director to lead our team! This leadership position is directly responsible for leading and managing a high volume and multi-location dining service operation.

The Director ensures our client partners, guest service/satisfaction with efficient cost effective management that both meets and exceeds stated expectations. They are responsible for all food service-related activities including care (retail, residential, catering etc.), quality improvement, sanitation, infection control, and all client-related activities.

Key Responsibilities for the Director of Hospitality Services will be:

  • In operations during key times. Managing food qualityand service. Working side by side with team in modeling service excellence
  • In times of great demand, assisting in preparing meals, stocking food/supplies, and cleaning is required
  • Walking from location to location across campus to check on operational excellence
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of new marketing, sustainability, and culinary concepts for residential and retail locations
  • Partner and collaborate with support team on financial and people excellence Utilize company systems for completion of required daily/weekly/monthly reports such as inventory, cash reports, production records, payroll/time-keeping, etc
  • Drive and promote service excellence through communication, engagement, and constructive feedback
  • Drive the food philosophy of Harvest Table Culinary Group and demonstrate the core values

Additional qualifications:

  • Must be able to communicate to a wide range of individuals and ensure full comprehension of the topic, risk or liability level
  • Will be a guest focused, innovative leader and have the ability to build and maintain strong partner relationships
  • Strong team player with good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Degree in Culinary/Food Service Bachelors preferred
  • 2-6 years’ experience in food service operations
