WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE A FOOD SERVICE WORKER - KITCHEN STAFF MEMBER

As a Food Service Worker - Kitchen Staff Member, you help to ensure our kitchen operations are running efficiently. You help with cleaning, maintenance, stocking, and preparing food. Coming in for your shift, you quickly get busy washing dishes, sweeping floors, wiping down counters, removing trash, setting up tables, stocking snack bars, and cleaning the dining areas of our assisted living facility.

A true team player, you assist with large cleaning projects as scheduled. When assisted living residents approach you with requests, you're quick to help out. You love keeping busy, and you love knowing that your job is more than just a job - it's an opportunity to help our residents and their visitors to feel cared for!

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN A FOOD SERVICE WORKER - KITCHEN STAFF MEMBER

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Preference will be given to candidates with at least six months of experience in the food service industry.
• Must have a food handler's card or ServSafe contingent upon 30 days of hire.
• Must have some knowledge of proper food service sanitation methods and equipment.
• Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read, and write English.

Description of environment: Pioneer Home: This is an industrial kitchen located in an assisted living setting.

Physical requirements: Employee is required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk/hear, see taste/smell, and carry weight/lift.

As part of the onboarding process for this contract, you will be required to provide proof that you are free of pulmonary tuberculosis (TB).
