Job Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities:

1. Cooks and prepares meals by strictly following the recipes contained within the Healthier Standardized menu and maintains accurate meal and snack counts, and the production thereof.

2. Solely responsible for unloading the food order from the food truck, which requires bending, stooping, lifting, and overhand reaching, and putting all food items away in their designated areas.

3. Successfully completes each food order by visually maintaining all inventories and writing or typing each order; and adheres to all Federal Food Guidelines when applicable.

4. Cleans and sanitizes the kitchen, including all utensils and cookware, by washing all dishes; sweeping, mopping, and cleaning all of the kitchen areas (including, but not limited to the floors, countertops, stove tops, and student eating areas); and disposing of refuse and cleaning products in the assigned receptacles. The listed tasks require frequent bending, stooping, lifting, pulling, and reaching.

5. Strictly adheres to all safety and sanitary standards through visual reading and interpreting of OSHA procedures to maintain a safe environment for children.

6. Performs kitchen-related maintenance; cleans leftover or uneaten food and returns them to their proper receptacles; and returns supply and cleaning items to their proper locations.

7. Regularly communicates, both verbally or in writing, with parents regarding Director-approved menu changes and food serving schedules.

8. Communicates, both verbally or in writing, suspected child abuse or neglect to local child protective agencies or child abuse hotlines as required by law.

9. Interacts with children and models socially-appropriate behavior in the facility and in the classroom by developing and participating in physical activities that require frequent standing, kneeling, bending, stooping, and lifting to engage each child, when required.

10. Attends, in-person, all staff training sessions and meetings at the direction of the school director

11. Treats each child with respect and dignity by recognizing and considering the unique background of each child, including children with disabilities, special talents and interest, style and pace of learning.

12. Assists the Lead Teacher and/or Teacher with the implementation of the Company-provided curriculum, which includes communicating and interpreting, both verbally and in writing, instruction in ten learning domains, by preparing written, age-appropriate lesson plans on a weekly basis.

13. Assists the Lead Teacher and/or Teacher with the development of each weekly, age-appropriate lesson plans to the different learning levels of each child by visually observing the development of each child; listening to the verbal feedback from each child during classroom activities; and critically assessing how to formally and informally assess for learning.

14. Interacts with children and models socially-appropriate behavior on the playground and in the classroom by developing and participating in physical activities that require frequent standing, kneeling, bending, stooping, and lifting to engage each child.

15. Assists the Lead Teacher and/or Teacher in conducting regular a) classroom observations and b) formal and informal assessments that reflect the age-appropriate interests of children in the Lead Teacher’s classroom.

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
