Safety is always FIRST with Tyson Foods and at Tyson, all Team Members are expected to practice safety standards, policies, and procedures. All Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided.
As part of the daily tasks, candidates will be responsible for ensuring all materials are loaded and unloaded in a timely manner using a motor-powered forklift or standup lift.
Description
Candidates will be considered for any forklift start openings in any Material Handling department on the 2nd shift (Swings) and the 3rd shift (Overnight). Duties may involve unloading or loading trucks, putting materials in storage locations, pulling product for production and outgoing loads. In order to complete daily job tasks, candidates must be willing to bend, twist, reach and move around the department, must be able to frequently push, pull, lift, and carry up to 40 lbs. and up to 70+ lbs. on occasion. Candidates must be willing to work up to 12 hours per shift and overtime and weekends if required. All work is performed in a cold and damp environment with temperatures ranging from 28 to 42 degrees. This position involves constant standing, walking, and riding of powered material handling equipment (forklifts, stand-up lifts). Specialized training for powered industrial trucks required to be qualified within Tyson Foods, Inc.
Requirements
Candidate must have 6 months of prior warehouse and/or forklift experience.
