We have an immediate need for Freight Sorters in Rock Island, IL . As a Freight Sorter you will unload freight from trailers and manually sort freight into different zones. When the delivery vehicles arrive freight is then hand loaded into trailers.

This is a full time position. Shift is Monday through Friday, 1:30pm to 10:00pm.

Pay is $18 per hour.

Medical, Dental and Optical insurance available after 90 days of employment.

Essential Job functions:

Load and unload shipments safely and move product as needed with a pallet jack.
Check in, scan or count freight for accuracy and/or damage and infestation.
Prepare necessary paperwork and submit to Operations Manager.
Frequent & repetitive lifting using both hands/arms for items weighing approximately 50 lbs.
The lifting frequency may be in excess of 100 repetitions per shift.
Frequent bending and twisting at waist/knees/neck while off-loading and loading trucks.
Help maintain cleanliness of warehouse and building grounds.
Handle customer products with integrity.
Perform all duties in conformance with appropriate safety and security standards.
Assist in warehousing operations as needed, and all other miscellaneous duties as requested by Supervisor.
Responsible for awareness and compliance with warehouse work rules and company policies.

Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
