JOB REQUIREMENTSEducationMust possess a high school diploma or equivalent. College desirable but not required.ExperienceDesirable characteristics include proficiency in written and verbal communications, possess ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public; a minimum of two years experience in a health care institution; ability the follow directions and perform work according to department standards when no directions are given; be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress. Must be computer literate.PhysicalThis is a safety sensitive position. Please see the St. Bernards Substance Abuse Policy for further information.Occasional walking, standing, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and pushing up to 300 lbs. Frequent sitting, bending and lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs. Must be able to see with corrective eye wear. Must be able to hear clearly with assistance. Tools/Equipment Used: Typewriter/computer, Printer, Copier, Fax machine, Adding machine/calculator, PBX, and Two way radio.

JOB SUMMARYThe MD Clinic Biller/Receptionist will be responsible for answering telephone, scheduling appointments, cash receipts and preparation of patient records. Ensures accurate and complete information appearing on billing form or its input into Electronic Billing System. Prepares accurate account adjustments when indicated on the patient file or by determination of regulations. Observe professional ethics in maintaining confidential information acquired concerning the personal, financial, medical or employment status of patients and/or employee of this medical practice and their families. Complies with RCMC’s Standard of Conduct and Business Ethics. Adhere to accepted safety practices.
