Barrier Island Station, Duck NC is looking for you to lead our Front Desk team! We are seeking a motivated, friendly, customer service and detail oriented candidate who is looking to jump start their career in the hospitality industry.

Full Time -Year-Round position available!! Full medical/dental and vision benefits available after 60 days of employment. Those benefits also include Paid Time Off, Sick and Vacation leave which you start accruing after first paycheck.

Must be available to work weekends in the summer season. Flexible scheduling offered for winter season.

We are looking for a Front Desk Manager motivated by creating a positive work environment for staff members and is willing to lead not only by example but feet first. As a member of our Management team, you will interact directly with Owners and guests from the time they arrive on the property until they depart. In addition, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to, processing all guest arrivals and departures, and ensuring all data inputted is correct. The front desk is the very first face a guest sees, providing accurate information about the resort and surrounding area while delivering a personalized vacation experience for each Owner and guest is key. You will coordinate front-desk schedules and work, including distributing correspondence and taking/redirecting phone calls. To be successful in this position, you should have a positive and pleasant personality, as this is primarily a customer service role. You should be able to problem solve in a timely and effective manner while streamlining office operations. Multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position. This role may require working in shifts, so flexibility is a plus.

CORE WORK RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Follow company policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain the confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
  • Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests service needs; thank guests with genuine appreciation.
  • Speak using clear and professional language; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
  • Assist upper management with daily reports and inbound arrivals.
  • Ensure efficient operation of the front desk staff.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of guests.
  • Comply with quality assurance standards.
  • Available to work a flexible schedule including weekends during the summer time.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Managers.

Skills

  • Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or similar role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Hands-on experience with office software

Pay: From $19.50 per hour
