Job Summary: Dispense fuel in a safe and secure manner to vessels, gas dock, plant operations, as dictated by location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispenses fuel to vessels, vehicles, plant operations through various means. Maintain all records related to the dispensing/selling of fuel
  • Completes routine maintenance with the assistance of engineering
  • Ensures compliance to safety plans
  • Understand and maintain compliance of government regulations related to fuel operations
  • Participates in governmental inspections of fuel operations.
  • Participates in hazardous operations training
  • Operates in a safe and secure manner at all times
  • Maintain package product inventory for plant use and retail sales
  • Manages the daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of fuel sold and/or allocated
  • Maintain daily procedures related to valve open/close, equipment/piping inspections, and other procedures outlined in SOP.
  • Resolve issues regarding fuel with chief engineer and Alaska Support Management
  • Manages communication of pricing assigned
  • Works with plant staff to ensure equipment is functional and operational
  • Responsible for offloading fuel barges while ensuring each step is managed and accounted for in a safe manner

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions
  • Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings
  • In some locations, may be responsible for writing up invoices for fuel sales to vessels, reconciling sales with fuel stores at the end of their shift and submitting report for balancing out invoices and sales of fuel sold.
  • Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned in specific areas – Akutan, Sandpoint, Chignik.

Minimum Requirements


Education

  • Minimum of a High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
