New Oxford Specialty is recruiting a Fulfillment Manager at its Atlanta Fulfillment Center located at 6300 Boat Rock Blvd SW in Atlanta GA.



SUMMARY:

The initial responsibility of the Fulfillment Production Manager is to lead the fulfillment production operations. Key areas include production safety, fulfillment production and personnel management, quality of product, planning, budget, fulfillment production metrics, capital jobs, etc. This position will then be responsible for driving process improvements throughout the production operations of the facility. The key metrics include safety, quality, productivity and waste to name just a few.


PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Oversee operation of the entire production operations at Atlanta Fulfillment Center (AFC).
  • Oversee and supervise all production leads, other key staff roles as assigned and employees, both PCA and temporary work force, in the production area.
  • Initiate programs to set and maintain quality, efficiencies and production levels to high standards within the industry and communicate and hold accountability of standards to staff.
  • Evaluate new trends within the fulfillment operations and make recommendations and lead/assist in planning, equipment purchases, and budgeting. Drive Lean and process improvements throughout the Department.
  • Work with Operations Manager and other supervisors on all decisions on the maintenance and replacement of production equipment.
  • Control cost through effective utilization of staff, materials and equipment.
  • Evaluate automation, test and use to improve efficiencies. Recommend automation to increase efficiencies and take out headcount.
  • Promote a team approach and identify key associates to cross train in other areas of the department and fulfillment organization to meet the daily goals. Work closely with Human Resources to ensure all company policies are adhered to and reviewed on a continual basis.
  • Work closely with department supervisors to identify staffing needs, address operational issues for continuous improvements, and assist with implementation of operational standards or processes.
  • Work closely with temporary agencies to ensure all matters are properly resolved
  • Maintain excellent working conditions, a safe work environment, and high morale within the plant through employee engagement, active participation in feedback, problem solving, addressing complaints, and resolving issues.
  • Maintain key communications to the Fulfillment Operations Manager and other support functions.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Coach and develop direct reports and other personnel within the department for future growth positions.
  • Additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Proven results in problem solving


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum five years’ experience as a proven manager/leader in fulfillment, or comparable manufacturing environment
  • Associate degree in business or related field
  • Candidates are PREFERRED who offer the following:

o Four-year degree

o Engineering background

o E-Commerce

o Fulfillment experience


  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US; Sponsorship not available


LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as sales reports, operating instructions, and training and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and standard operating procedures, as well as employee performance evaluations.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure.
  • Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, costs, proportions, and volumes.
  • Ability to interpret data and make sound decisions based on interpretation.


REASONING ABILITY:

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram (graphic), spreadsheet form.
  • Ability to solve a variety of problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited information or standardization exists.


TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Application knowledge and skill for computer data entry.
  • Application knowledge of products and production processes.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Employee is frequently required to sit, walk, stand, to talk and to hear.
  • Employee is frequently required to use hands and fingers to type.
  • Vision requirements include: Frequent use of near vision and ability to adjust focus for reading and computer use.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work inside a climate-controlled office environment.
  • Employee will also spend a significant portion of time on the production area, exposing the employee to heat and humidity.
