The USCG has partnered with Highlight to collaboratively develop, test, implement and sustain a Software Factory Solution and methods for translating commercial practices into repeatable self-sustaining USCG processes for establishing, growing, operating, and adapting scalable in-house agile software operations.
The Full Stack Developer will help USCG mature its DevSecOps capabilities and processes associated with building software, developing agile web and mobile applications, and designing and delivering cloud and common services using agile and DevSecOps principles.
- Apply advanced knowledge and hands-on experience in developing and implementing software products and leading software teams.
- Maintain and improve the performance of existing software code, to include designing and updating software databases IAW guidance provided in the Government’s roadmap.
- Write test scripts in an agile software development environment, with an emphasis on automated test procedures and the continuous integration and continuous delivery of software.
- Recommend improvements to existing software, as necessary.
- Be capable of performing the software tasks identified in the contract requirements, and the be capable of forming and working on Government/Contractor software teams.
- 5 years of experience in full stack development, to include Java, Web services, Database, and/or web application development.
- 3 years of experience with agile and lean philosophies.
- 2 years of experience with DevSecOps tools and processes, including, but not limited to, Git, Concourse, SonarQube, Fortify, and ThreadFix.
- 2 years of experience with container technologies, such as Docker or Kubernetes.
- 2 years of experience providing system administration support to a diverse set of Operating Systems (Microsoft Windows, Linux, etc.).
- Experience with Continuous Delivery and Continuous Integration techniques, such as Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Configuration as Code (CaC), and GitOps.
