Full-time Corrections Officer Job at Dawson County
Dawson County Sheriff's Office currently has an opening for a Full-time Corrections Officer. This position enforces federal, state, and local laws to protect lives and property within the guidelines of state and federal laws, traffic laws, local ordinances, and departmental policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Must be 19 years of age.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Be of good character.
- High school diploma or equivalent, required.
- No felony or serious misdemeanor convictions.
- Valid Nebraska Operator's License, required.
- Meet the requirements of the Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Center.
- Possess a strong knowledge of computer skills.
- Be able to retain confidential information.
Applicants will undergo a background check, T.A.B.E. and psychological testing, and must pass a pre-employment drug test.
