General Maintenance Technician I Job at Oklahoma County Detention Center
SUMMARY: General Maintenance Tech I performs skilled work in the maintenance and repair of the Oklahoma County Detention Center.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Inspects building daily to determine needed repairs.
· Investigates, diagnoses, performs, documents, and completes work orders.
· Maintains building, performing minor and routine repairs and preventative maintenance.
· Troubleshoots and repairs cell doors, locks, sliders, light fixtures, grid ceilings, air handling units, equipment, piping, valves, filters, etc.
· Patches concrete, strips and buffs floors, paints.
· Notifies management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
· Develop creative solutions for unique issues.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: May supervise inmate trustees.

- PREFERRED: HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, ICON Water Management, Siemens Desigo, Boiler License, Steam
