One of the product lines that MAG USA is focused on are our award-winning "Escape Lounges," our line of premier, common-use airport lounges.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, we are currently looking for a motivated and experienced Restaurant Manager to take charge of our executive Escape Lounge operations at Metropolitan Oakland International Airport (OAK) as its Lounge Manager.

You will be responsible for the quality and commercial success of the operation through effective management of our professional front of house Lounge and back of house Catering teams. By doing so, you will be central in the delivery of culinary and customer service excellence. We are not aiming for ‘okay’ we strive for excellence and to be the benchmark service provider. Therefore, this role will require the delivery of innovative solutions and quality service in line with business objectives and MAG's elevated company standards.

You

As the successful candidate, you will have extensive experience within the hospitality sector with a proven track record of high end delivery and people management. You will have Front of House (lounge) and Back of House (catering) Supervisors to guide and mentor. Most importantly you will be an inspirational leader with an ability to get the best out of your staff, create a culture of success and develop exceptional ‘team spirit’.

As a highly commercially focused operation, you must have prior experience with Food & Beverage operations and proven ability to drive profit and identify cost efficiencies.

  • Experience with budget management, ordering, and shift scheduling.
  • Plan staffing requirements
  • Maintain all kitchen equipment & records
  • Supervise all kitchen and dining room activities, ensuring quality production and service delivery.
  • Review employee performance and to provide relevant training
  • Maintain knowledge on all liquor regulations.
  • Assist with menu marketing the Lounge product to potential customers.
