Elite Fitness Group currently owns and operates 7 Fit Body Boot Camp and 5 Tranzfrom Fitness locations in West Michigan and is looking to continue to grow and expand.

We are looking for a get-stuff-done type of person who is customer focused but also knows how to get the job done and be a leader for the rest of the location.

This person is responsible for the following:

  • Establishes a “Base Operating Expense” (BOE) for the location and is responsible for bringing the location in under budget, along with meeting or exceeding revenue projections.
  • They oversee daily production reports and tracking of all key indicators and numbers in the business.
  • Lead Sales by example. The General Manager should do a minimum 10-20% of all sales to set the pace and stay in touch with problems encountered by front desk or coaches.
  • Responsible for monthly tracking of multiple profit centers, including profit and loss sheet on each profit center in the facility
  • On-going team training is a major role of the General Manager. They should coordinate weekly team meetings, individual meetings, reviews, weekly trainings, with their team members.
  • The condition of the facility is the responsibility of the General Manager, including scheduling cleaning service, repairs, and maintenance, as well as the atmosphere of the facility during operation hours – including music, energy of sessions, team uniforms, and facility cleanliness.
  • Interpretation of the company’s policies, including disciplinary action against team members, handling cancellation of memberships, and final action on all client service problems that may arise.
  • The General Manager also supervises all other management of staff, including the Fitness Director, Head Coach, coaches, and front desk staff.
  • They are responsible for the hiring, managing/leading, and firing of their team.
  • The General Manager should be out on the workout floor helping to establish relationships with current clients and to help sell potential non-clients on memberships. His/her job is to make sure all people inside the gym are being serviced professionally.

  • Client communication (Communicating any changes that might affect clients: Closings, ect…)

Hours worked for the General Manager:

  • They should expect to work about 45-50 hours per week. One early morning block per week minimum.
  • The GM should be inside the location Monday-Thursday doing whatever it takes to get the job done for the location.
  • Mon: Full Day (11am-7pm) (Run L10 Meeting, Run Financials Metrics, Observe Sessions, Talk/Help to clients and solve problems, make sure building is spotless and clients are being served properly, Entreleadership Review)
  • Tue: 9am-6pm, Wed: 5am-1pm, Thur: 5am-1pm
  • Fri: 9am-3pm (Resolve any issues from earlier in the week, finish any paperwork that needs to be done, preparation for Monday Meeting, End of week s/o (Communicate priorities), Client Feedback.
  • Paperwork Should be done during the day when things are slow and be out on the workout floor after 4pm in the evenings ensuring quality of sessions and building relationships and solving client problems.
  • On Friday’s, the General Manager should be in the location from about 9am-3pm (Tentative- could be earlier if needed) to finish paperwork/reporting for the week and then be gone for the weekend.

Pay for the General Manager Position:

  • $48,000-$68,000 **pay range includes bonuses and based on experience**
  • Salaried position plus bonuses
