The General Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations, financial performance, and leadership for all company activities, ensuring that every employee is driven to consistently meet our client's expectations. Key responsibilities include leading the development of a high- performance work environment, overseeing sales, customer service, recruiting, staffing, training, cost management, and meeting business goals for growth and profitability.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages all business activities, faithfully executes the business plan, achieving or exceeding planned P&L objectives.
- Routinely measures, manages, and reports on Key Performance Indicators supporting the attainment of business goals.
- Leads, manages, and holds the leadership team accountable for achieving agreed-upon commitments.
- Effectively manages the budget.
- Integrates all major operating functions of the business. Ensures everyone is rowing together in the same direction. Models the way, always working toward the greater good of the business.
- Resolves issues effectively, being comfortable with conflict, calling out the problems, and solving the problems in a practical and healthy manner. Ensures the leadership team is healthy, functional, and cohesive.
- Partners with the clients to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by providing consistent communication and following up on clients concerns and requests.
- Identifies and documents opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Maintains a working knowledge of all operating systems and ensures that everyone is following, and adhering to, the company's core processes and operating systems with consistency. Demonstrates effective project management skills.
- Hires, trains, supervises, motivates, and develops office staff; manages schedules and workflow.
- Assigns duties and monitors quality of work; assures staff conforms to organizational policies and procedures and government regulations including OSHA, and etc…
- Keeps up to date on overall activities of the team, identifying problem areas and taking corrective actions.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned by the owner. Effectively collaborates with the owner and stays on the same page. Maintains a high level of mutual respect with the owner and realizes the unique contributions and ideas that the owner has and possesses an ability to filter and translate those ideas into functional plans for the company.
- Confirms that all key messages are properly and consistently cascaded across the organization. Inherently ensures that everyone is in the know. Verifies that a high level of effective communication exists throughout the organization.
- Dependably demonstrates a relentless obsession with values alignment, focus, simplicity, and clarity.
Skills and Qualifications
- Previous experience as General Manager or Assistant General Manager in a service based business or similar
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management or accounting preferred
- Functional experience in roles supporting both Sales/acquisition of new customers and
Service/support of existing customers
- Demonstrated ability to inspire, influence, and hold teams accountable to achieve a common goal
- Experience leading teams and managing a diverse group of roles and responsibilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to produce reports, assign tasks, accept instructions, and handle vendor contracts, among other tasks
- Organization and the ability to multitask to complete a wide variety of tasks
- Flexibility to adjust to new tasks should the company or office needs to change
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with all employees
- Strong Leadership ability to manage challenges and oversee employees
- Attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed thoroughly and correctly
Salary mentioned is base pay, performance bonuses will be available on top of base salary.
Minimum Qualifications: 5 years office management, Associates Degree, HR experience (including payroll software such as ADP/ Gusto), Basic Accounting
