Our client is a leading provider of waterfront structure construction and marine construction services in the Southeastern U.S.

Summary:

Our client is seeking an experienced, multi-faceted, and hands-on Construction Project Superintendent to provide comprehensive on-site construction management at project sites.

In tandem with the Project Manager, this role will supervise several projects simultaneously, ensuring quality and safety standards are met, budget and timelines are adhered to, and problems are resolved quickly and effectively while maintaining the company’s high service standards.

Location:

Virginia Beach/Chesapeake Bay area

Salary:

Base salary range up to $150K/year plus bonus

Primary Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and supervise the daily activities of the project team, including hiring, training, scheduling, appropriately delegating responsibilities, and creating and maintaining effective work plans
• Prepare and adhere to work plans to determine manpower levels, materials quantities, equipment requirements, and cost
• Collaborate with all internal and external project stakeholders to ensure specifications and regulations are met
• Monitor budget and timelines throughout projects and communicate variances as they occur
• Effectively address and troubleshoot all problems as they arise including but not limited to issues with safety, quality, materials, manpower, equipment, and land conditions
• Ensure all company employees and contractors are adhering to the company safety policy
• Ensure quality standards are being met

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of civil project construction experience required, with heavy emphasis on marine construction
• 5+ years of supervisory experience as a Superintendent or similar role
• Experience or exposure to various construction disciplines, safety regulations, cost management processes, planning, and scheduling
• Strong understanding and working knowledge of a wide variety of construction equipment
• Experience managing multiple teams and multiple projects simultaneously
• Effective communicator and problem solver
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field highly preferred

Preferred Certifications:

• OSHA, CPR, and Basic First Aid

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
