The Opportunity::
The Control Room Operator is responsible for the monitoring of power generation of various technologies for company projects from a 24-hour Power Plant. The Control Room Operator is responsible for the safe operation of all facilities under their control and will make decisions/adjustments as needed to safely maximize generation.
What You'll Do at Enel::
Responsibilities, include, but not limited to:

  • Verify correct operation of power plants through analysis of plant indications, the detection and reporting of outages, anomalies, alarms and abnormal conditions.
  • Perform routine rounds of the plants, inspecting equipment and reading local instrumentation
  • Perform routine maintenance of equipment, such as replacing filters, belts and other basics tasks.
  • Control the operation of the power plants, including startup and shutdown to allow for routine maintenance and other planned activities.
  • Communicate with TSO’s and Utilities for planned and unplanned events at power plants.
  • React to outages & directives immediately using EGPNA process and procedures
  • Understand and comply with all Standard Operating Procedures and Operating Instructions, and regularly update and verify regulatory and compliance reporting documents
Who You Are::
  • High School Diploma or Technical Certificate
  • 2-4 years equivalent work experience is desired
  • Strong understanding of power plant fundamentals including electrical theory, thermodynamics, and rotating machinery.
  • Strong computer skills (Proficiency with Microsoft Access, Word & Excel software programs a must
  • Analytical abilities to download and evaluate numerical data
  • Ability to complete both internal and external reporting as required
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Availability to work rotating 12 hour shifts
