GL Accountant Job at Ghirardelli Chocolate Company
This position offers a cross functional scope where you can make decisions, influence the goals of the department and contribute to business results. The successful candidate will assist in the company's accounting functions, which includes performing month-end financial close and assisting with daily duties and special projects. He/she will bring his/her experience and attention to detail.
This position will provide assistance and support to the department as needed.
Requirements:- Comply with multi-state sales and use tax laws. Prepare monthly/quarterly sales & use tax returns and payments.
- Manage the day-to-day purchasing card program tasks, which include providing training to new users, managing existing users, ensuring compliance of policies and monthly downloads to the G/L.
- Assist with month-end close. Prepare various month-end journal entries. Review and reconcile related accounts.
- Assist with special projects as assigned.
- Prepare audit requests from external auditors and support other external requests.
