The Global Quality Specialist has three main areas of focus: Circular Economy and Sustainability/ESG, Quality for Global Clients and Global Quality Projects. This is the liaison between Quality Teams across all regions to communicate and align on global topics, standardize global KPIs and consolidate global trends.

This role supports the Global Quality Team's alignment with Braskem's Strategic Plan.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Subject Matter Expert in all Circular Economy certification types providing guidance and recommendations to the Circular Economy and Sustainability business and staying current in all certification requirements
  • Lead internal auditor for Circular Economy certifications providing audit approach consistency in all Braskem regions
  • Provides internal auditor training on Circular Economy certifications' requirements to maintain internal audit expertise
  • Provides global mapping of product sustainable declaration flows to verify proper Chain of Custody in place
  • Key Global Quality interface with Circular Economy and Sustainability for support with supplier sustainability programs (e.g., Responsible Ethanol Program)
  • Global Project Leader coordinating global Quality projects with regional support and providing structured project management and reporting
  • Conducts global trend analysis of Global Quality Data and KPIs and global client complaints to identify CI projects and other improvement opportunities
  • Liaison between Quality Teams across regions to facilitate consolidation and communication of global client knowledge (from the Quality perspective) including client requirements, client audit results, client questionnaires and assessments of Braskem as a supplier, etc. to ensure information provided by Braskem represents a global viewpoint
  • Key Global Quality interface with Commercial Teams responsible for Global Clients (e.g., Tetra Pak, Ikea, etc.)
  • Responsible for the client complaints management process for global complaints (including warehouse/logistics, product quality, commercial, etc.) and measuring performance of the global complaints process to verify effectiveness (e.g., determine time taken to complete critical steps in the complaint process) [with Regional Client Quality role in each country]
  • Drive and coordinate investigations on global customer complaints to determine root cause to address global complaints in a timely manner. Proactively collaborate with research, application, process technology and production engineers to drive global complaint investigations for high impact/high-cost global complaints and help determine solutions to global customer quality issues
  • Track the cost of non-quality for the global client complaints process
  • Participate in or stay informed on client audits in the plants when global clients are involved [client audits are organized and facilitated by Regional Client Quality role in each country]
  • Be the complaint contact for countries (other than in Europe and Asia) where we have offices, but no manufacturing (e.g., South America)
  • Proactively provide support for complaints for the UTEC Business
  • Ensure corrective action plan management [working in conjunction with regional Quality Assurance in each country]:
    • resulting from global client complaints
    • resulting from nonconformances applicable globally
    • resulting from nonconformances from global customer audits
  • Provides support to the Global Responsible for Intelius Quality Pillar for documentation including Global Standards, Guidebooks, etc.

Technical / Management Requirements:

  • Experience and knowledge in quality management systems preferred
  • Experience in management system audits preferred
  • Experience in Circular Economy and Sustainability preferred
  • Degree ideally in chemistry, engineering, or another scientific discipline or equivalent (minimum of 10 years) experience in relevant fields
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISCC Plus, Bonsucro preferred
  • Strong networking skills required
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both spoken and written
  • Proficiency in English language required, both spoken and written
