Retail General Manager

We are seeking a full-me, experienced Retail General Manager to oversee our daily operations of the Provisioning Center. Our ideal candidate will support, manage, develop, and train all retail employees under their leadership. General Manager will also maintain facility compliance and security, create and employ policies, procedures, and employee schedules, and oversee all cash handling and inventory management activities. This individual will interact with owners, staff, customers, security, law enforcement, and other regulatory agencies. Their primary function is to manage the operations of the Provisioning Center, resolve issues, implement efficiencies, and exhibit a commitment to continuous improvement. This candidate also has the following qualities:

  • 21 years of age or older.
  • 5+ years of customer service experience.
  • Superior people management skills with at least four years of personnel management experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of inventory management and cash handling experience.
  • At least two years of Cannabis Dispensing experience.
  • High School diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in Business

Administration/Management or a related field is strongly preferred. Equivalent knowledge/experience is considered.

  • Excellent typing skills, 40 WPM or better.
  • Ability to pass a background check with no pending charges or convictions within the past ten years for a controlled substance-related felony.
  • Must have reliable transportation and predictable attendance. This role requires open availability to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must not be registered as a primary caregiver or withdraw registration as a registered primary caregiver before accepting an official Offer of Employment.

Tasks and Expectations:

  • Oversee all provisioning facility operations, including customer and patient service, quality assurance, purchasing, and procurement. Ensures that operating standards, policies, cost controls, and service criteria are maintained and followed throughout the provisioning process.
  • Manage and oversee all provisioning facility staff and compliance strategies.
  • Facilitate training, coaching, and development of staff.
  • Oversee the management and maintenance of facility records.
  • Encourage and maintain a culture of high integrity, teamwork, and respect.
  • Maximize provisioning productivity and quality of service.
  • Oversee transactions and product transfers between licenses.
  • Establishes and supports facility policies of operation and conduct.
  • Monitors and upholds NOBO’s standards.
  • Facilitate regular internal compliance audits and schedule third-party audits.
  • Conduct regular physical inventory audits and report accordingly in METRC.
  • Manage supply and inventory levels and facilitate purchasing.
  • Manage to spend against budget regarding the patient volume and revenue changes.
  • Problem-solve to determine how specific items were not tracked correctly, fix the issue, and ensure that the incident is isolated.
  • Ensure that all products are being stored and handled in sanitary conditions.
  • Maintain compliance when tracking, disposing, and reporting all cannabis waste to the State.
  • Communicate effectively with the owners, managers, processors, and team members.
  • Encourage and support open communication with employees to ensure a fair and friendly work environment.
  • Lead employees to take actions consistent with the company’s overall strategy and values.
  • Determine inefficiencies and knowledge gaps. Request training and determine solutions to remedy barriers to success.
  • Monitor internal reports and evaluate performance against established departmental expectations.
  • Ensure Facility Safety and Sanitation protocols are followed.
  • Must adhere to the company’s stated Equality and Diversity and Drug-Free Workplace policies.
  • Keep abreast of and adhere to all federal, LARA, and local municipal regulations, specifically inventory management and Metrc reporting.
  • Implement Crisis Response Plans as dictated by the company.
  • Qualified applicants have an aptitude for comprehending compliance and the ability to adhere to a regulatory framework by creating, monitoring, and updating internal procedures as needed.
  • Must follow all rules, regulations, policies, and procedures following the company's mission, vision, goals, and objectives.
  • Other dues as assigned within the job scope.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Desire to continuously improve knowledge of sales and cannabis products.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with cannabis software Leaf Logix.
  • Knowledge of or a willingness to learn state-specific cannabis laws and regulatory compliance.
  • Above average knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Suites.
  • Possesses strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to de-escalate conflict within the team and with the public.
  • Exhibits thoughtfulness and patience when dealing with staff.
  • Superior inventory management and cash handling skills.
  • Treats others with respect, keeps commitments, inspires the trust of others, works with integrity, and upholds organizational goals and standards.

  • Ability to li up to 50 lbs, squat, reach and stand for extended periods.
