GOLF CART ATTENDANT Job at Knox County, TN
Purpose of Job
The purpose of this classification is to clean, distribute and place carts in and out of play daily, and inform management of any maintenance problems related to golf carts.
Essential Functions
The Golf Cart Attendant is responsible for the following essential functions:
- Fuels and charges carts each night and as required.
- Cleans carts and storage area each night and provides balls for next day start up.
- Picks range and washes range balls.
- Cleans restrooms as required.
- Keeps carts clean and parks them in storage area.
Additional Job Functions
- Respond to and report immediately if called upon by local, regional or central office supervisors, as part of a coordinated emergency response by the Knox County Mayor’s Office
- Perform other duties as required
Minimum Training & Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered for employment into the position.

- Ensure regular, punctual attendance during scheduled work hours
- Basic understanding of computers, printers and other office equipment
- Ability to focus and demonstrate great attention to detail
- Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team
- Ability to operate various types of hand and power tools
Physical Requirements
- This position requires the ability to engage in occasional light physical activity.
Occupational Hazards
- Exposure to various types of sprays, pesticides and other chemicals
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors, cold and hot weather conditions including precipitation
- Exposure to sunlight for extended periods of time
