Golf Shop Attendant Job at LINVILLE LAND HARBOR GOLF CLUB
Job Summary:
Assist the management staff and senior staff members during the course of daily operations while greeting and assisting customers in the golf shop. Maintain a friendly, customer service attitude at all times. The golf shop attendant works seasonally from April through October on a full or part-time schedule. Partial weekend work is required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Set up cash register for daily business.
Answer telephone and make tee times on our electronic system.
Act as the Starter on the Golf Course keeping golfers on schedule.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Collect green fees, cart fees, and fees for coupons.
Balance end-of-day transactions against cash register tape.
Prepare daily sales report for Administration Office.
Perform other related duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to use diplomacy, tact, and good judgment when dealing with customers.
Capable of establishing priorities, working independently, and proceeding with objectives with little supervision.
Maintain a working knowledge of the game of golf and be able to carry on an informed discussion about course conditions, current golf events, local rules, new golf equipment, and industry trends.
Credentials and Experience:
High School diploma with additional coursework in business and accounting.
Two years related experience or;
Equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
Shift:
- 10 hour shift
- Day shift
Weekly day range:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
