Golf: Varsity & MS Coach Job at The Cambridge School of Dallas
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Golf coach with the following qualifications~
- Have Golf/coaching experience
- Enjoy coaching and working with children, ages 10-18
- Are at least 18 or older
- Have reliable transportation
- Positive individuals who can share their passion of Golf with kids!
- A strong commitment to the student-athlete concept
- Effective leadership, coaching and recruiting skills;
- Good communication skills with players, parents, and the athletic department;
- A valid driver’s license (so that you can drive our team to matches, if possible).
WORK HOURS AND EXPECTATIONS: A part-time, late winter/early spring season appointment. On/off-campus responsibilities mainly from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. but sometimes 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday(mainly two days a week). Coaching responsibilities may result in extended weekday commitments for meets, including travel. All coaches are employed on an annual stipend basis (to be paid biweekly during the season) .
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Working as or with the Middle School Coach, the Head/Upper School Golf coach is responsible for creating and supporting various aspects of the Golf program, such as program development, training, and coaching team members. The coach is required to abide by the rules and regulations established by The Cambridge School. The Cambridge School is a member of the TEXAS ASSOCIATION OF PRIVATE AND PAROCHIAL SCHOOLS Conference( TAPPS) .
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Encourage, train, and coach the participants of the Upper School & Middle School boys/coed Golf program (Grades 7-12);
- Organize practice sessions;
- Represent The Winston School and the Golf and athletic program in a professional manner and within the bounds of good sportsmanship.
