Position Description

LISC LA currently manages $30M+ annually in local and federal government grants and contracts. LISC LA seeks a highly organized Grants Manager to support the administration of a robust grant and consultant contract portfolio. The Grants Manager will work across LISC Los Angeles programs and teams, with a portfolio that may support the following: California Emergency Rental Assistance Program, County of Los Angeles Alternatives to Incarceration Program, HUD Section Four Capacity Building Program, and/or Americorps program.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process grant contracts and or consultant agreements, which includes administering agreements, managing contracted partners, managing invoicing and monitoring performance to ensure alignment with agreed scope of work.
  • Work closely with LISC’s Government Contracts Management and LISC LA Leadership Team to ensure follow-up, and timeliness on deployment and execution of agreements.
  • Coordinate within GCM and Accounting to resolve open issues relating to the monitoring of grants, deliverables, invoices, etc;
  • Process disbursements and financial drawdowns for organization and or consultant contracts, including troubleshooting and providing recommendations, if issues arise;
  • Provide technical assistance (as needed) to selected organizations, as it pertains to contract agreements.
  • Work in coordination with LISC LA Program Officers to track progress on programmatic deliverables.
  • Create and maintain electronic files for grants and contracts; and
  • Assist in completing reports, such as narrative/financial reports, compliance reports, and other required reports as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Candidate should have at least 3 years of government grants management experience, including knowledge of sub-granting to other nonprofit organizations
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Solid attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Self-starter and with strong analytical skills
  • A willing and creative problem solver
  • Demonstrated expertise in building and maintaining professional relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver training programs to address technical competency gaps.
  • Some knowledge of nonprofit accounting is a plus.
  • Knowledge of community development is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Work effectively and efficiently in a hybrid work environment

Compensation

LISC offers a competitive salary ($63.500 - $75,000, salary based on experience and location) and excellent fringe benefits.
