We are seeking compassionate, energetic, non-judgmental support staff with a positive attitude and a desire to make a difference to join our Lynnwood Withdrawal Management and Health Services team. Shifts are 12 hours. Peer Counselor training or personal recovery highly desirable and receive increased starting pay.

Behavioral Health Technicians in our withdrawal management unit (DUA’s) perform a variety of patient care procedures which may include measuring patient vital signs (weight, height, blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature) under nurse supervision; managing the non-nursing portion of the patient admission; obtaining admission urine tests and performing TB screening/testing per unit policy; orienting patient to the unit and rooming patient; and informing nursing staff of patient reports of medication effectiveness. May pick individuals up from the hospital on occasion. Spends individual time with patients experiencing agitation or anxiety, providing reassurance and support.

Minimum Qualifications

• A compassionate understanding of chemical dependence as a disease; preference to persons in recovery from chemical dependency or studying to become an addiction counselor.
• Valid Washington State Driver’s License, acceptable driving record and able to operate a company vehicle without restriction.
• Washington State Department of Health Certified Nursing Assistant a plus
• Vaccinated against COVID-19
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test with no use of THC or alcohol.
