Greeter – Toyota Chula Vista
Job Summary:
Toyota Chula Vista is looking to hire an outgoing and customer service-oriented individual to work in the sales department. The ideal candidate will develop and maintain relationships with our customers by responding to inquiries and documenting different actions. The Greeter will be responsible for greeting all sales customers and controlling the flow of vehicles in and out of the sales department.
Responsibilities:
- Greet every Guest to the Dealership with a warm welcome, provide hospitality and determine the nature of their visit
- Monitor the new and used car lot to manage the traffic and ensure every guest is being assisted
- Document every customer visit as either a Walk-in, Be-Back or Appointment
- Directs customers to the correct department, notifies the appropriate salesperson that a customer is waiting, or introduces the customer to a salesperson.
- Hands out brochures and other information to customers.
- Answers basic customer inquiries. Refers more extensive inquiries to the appropriate person.
- Serves as Phone Receptionist during the course of each shift providing telephone coverage, as well.
- Serves as clerical back-up.
- Maintains professional appearance.
- Must be willing to work outside during all types of weather
- Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must have previous experience working as a cashier in a dealership
- Previous experience with ADP is highly preferred.
- Must be customer focused with the ability to analyze information
- Must be organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Strong verbal communication skills are required.

Extensive knowledge of the merchandise sold.
Ability to anticipate customers needs.
Ability to recommend merchandise to customers.
Ability to operate or to quickly learn the stores point-of-sale system.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous retail experience preferred not required.
- On-the-job training provided.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the retail space.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
