We are currently hiring a group home Assistant Manager in Edison, NJ. The qualified candidate will assist the group home manager in running and maintaining the group home and manage in the absence of the group home manager.

Hours Per Work Week: 40 Weekly Work Schedule: Tues.-Fri. 2 pm-10 pm & Sat. 9 am-5 pm
Other shifts are available at this location.

Job Responsibilities of a group home Assistant Manager:
- Assist with training staff
- Assist in the supervision of group home
- Share on-call responsibilities with the group home Manager
- Provide effective leadership and direction to the staff in the absence of a group home manager
- Work collaboratively with the group home Manager to uphold agency and licensing regulations
- Responsible for creating staff scheduling
- Assist with scheduling doctor's appointments
- Responsible for program and client finances
- Assists and/or supervises in activities of daily living skills
- Administer or assist with prescribed medication
- Light housekeeping
- Assist with transportation
- Assist in the implementation of individual goals and objectives
- Data entry using Therap (EHR)
- Assist residents in the pursuit of recreational, social, and community activities based on their preferences and individual plans
- HS diploma or equivalent; Associates degree preferred
- A valid driver's license in good standing & must be insurable through NJID's automobile insurance
- Strong organizational and communication skills
