The skills/experience you bring as a Guest Service Specialist

Required:

• Ability to adhere to privacy and confidentiality laws, policies, and procedures
• Ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities within time constraints
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in using MS Word and Excel

Preferred:

• Knowledge in specific hospital software programs such as Epic

The purpose of the Guest Service Specialist role

As a Guest Service Specialist you will work in the communication booth where you will ensure the efficient flow of 24-hour communications by processing calls throughout the hospital. This position monitors all safety equipment and screens. The Guest Service Specialist also provides after hour answering service for Homecare and Hospice departments and acts as a liaison between the hospital and security guards via cell phone and two-way radio, all while providing professional and courteous service. This position will also learn the operations of the front/desk lobby with greeting and directing patients and visitors to their appointment or to their final destination within the hospital.
