Our client a leader in logistics is for a Cloudera/Hadoop Administrator. The Administrator will be responsible for the day to day operations of the .Cloudera Data Platform (CDP).

What Will You Do

• Analyze complex distributed production deployments, and make recommendations to optimize performance
• Install and configure new Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) clusters
• Maintain and patch existing CDP
• Analyze and apply Cloudera recommendations
• Work with development and business stakeholders to setup new CDP users. This includes setting up Kerberos principals and testing HDFS, Kudu, Hive, Impala, HBase and Yarn access for the new users
• Perform CDP security configurations with Ranger, Kerberos, Knox and Atlas.
• Work closely with vendor Support to address support tickets
• Monitor and optimize cluster utilization, performance and operations.
• Write and produce technical documentation, administration runbooks and knowledge base.
• Keep current with Hadoop Big Data ecosystem technologies

Skills Needed
1. Demonstrated experience implementing big data use-cases, understanding of standard design patterns

commonly used in Hadoop-based deployments.
2. At least 2 years of CDP installation and administration experience in multi-tenant production environments, with experience on CDP 7.1.x versions
3. Experience designing and deploying production large-scale Hadoop architectures
4. Strong experience implementing software and/or solutions in enterprise Linux or Unix environments,including strong experience in shell scripting.

5. Strong experience with implementing and operating Cloudera Experience Compute Service (ECS) cluster (containerization).

6. Strong experience with various enterprise security solutions such as LDAP and Active Directory
7. Strong experience with Cloudera Manager, Ranger, Kerberos, Knox and Atlas
8. Strong experience with HDFS, YARN, Hive, Kudu and Impala.
9. Sound experience with other RDBMS, such as Oracle or MS SQL server.
10. Sound experience with source code control methodology and real systems (Github).
11. Strong understanding of network configuration, devices, protocols, speeds and optimizations
12. Strong understanding of Java development, debugging & profiling
13. Experience with building and operation Cloudera Work Load Manager (WXM) cluster.
14. Good troubleshooting skills, understanding of CDP capacity, bottlenecks, memory utilization, CPU usage, OS, storage, and networks

Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour
