JOB DESCRIPTION: Food & Beverage Manager
Schedule: Year-round, Live-in or Out, Full-time
Local candidates preferred
Salary: $75-90 + PTO & Health Benefits after introductory period
Location: Hamptons, NY
Overview:
Thriving 68-seat year-round Hamptons restaurant needs a Food & Beverage Manager to provide leadership, overseeing dining room (breakfast, lunch and dinner served), as well as weddings and events. Will be responsible for recruiting, training, purchasing, inventory control, scheduling and supervising staff; and for creating new protocols to improve service standards and staff management. Ideal candidate can assess venues and provide guidance on best plans for monetizing; will determine appropriate staff levels on and off season; and will advise on menus and food quantities for events. This is a working position and the candidate should be comfortable and willing to take any shifts as needed. Experienced professionals with excellent references only, please.
Candidate Qualities
- Professional, capable, self-confident, intuitive
- Chef/Fine Dining Captain exp. preferred
- Knowledge of restaurant POS technology.
- Energetic, upbeat personality
- Both a leader and a team player
- Clean appearance, organized and efficient
- Good communicator
- Generally, knows what to do, requires minimal direction, and is open to feedback
- Can adjust to and accommodate changing circumstances
Preference will be given to candidates who fulfill the following requirements:
- 5+ years relevant experience
- Excellent, stable work history and references
- Vaccinated
- Good English fluency
- Excellent knowledge of restaurant technology
- Legal to work in the US
- Suffolk County Food Handlers Certificate (can obtain)
- TIPS or NY ATAP Certification
