Handling Qualities / Aerodynamics Engineer:

The Handling Qualities / Aerodynamics Engineer will support product testing and certification of the Bell 525 Relentless Helicopter. This position is based at Bell’s Arlington, TX Flight Research Center.

Position Responsibilities:

• Aircraft stability and control design and analysis
• Experience analyzing and reducing wind tunnel and flight test data for incorporation into simulation math model
• 6 degree of freedom simulation analysis and simulation development
• Flight test support and data analysis
• Analysis of control law inner and outer loop functions
• Linear and non-linear analysis of flight control systems
• Interface with flight controls, avionics, and other teams using good communication and interpersonal skills

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering, or similar discipline, is required.
• Master’s Degree in Engineering is preferred.

Position Requirements:

• 2+ years experience in Handling Qualities or Aerodynamics/Performance is required for this position

• Familiarity in 6 DOF flight simulation modeling, flight test data analysis, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required
• Demonstrated Communication Skills needed to brief top-level management, customers and/or large groups on an occasional-to-frequent basis
• Must have the ability to prioritize a variety of assignments
• Must have the ability to work effectively within a team
• Good interpersonal and organizational skills are required
• Rotorcraft experience is preferred
