Job Description
The Institute for Environmental Assessment (IEA) is a health and safety consulting company that provides project management and consultation services in environmental health and safety areas such as indoor air quality, OSHA compliance, facility management and asbestos material management.
IEA seeks a Health and Safety Professional for a full-time position in our Rochester, Minnesota office.
The Health & Safety Professional Ensures and promotes compliance with federal and state safety laws, standards, and regulations applicable to hazardous materials, particularly by conducting regular inspections and investigations of assigned sites, projects, activities, or incidents.
Duties include:
Provides OSHA (and other applicable state and federal agencies) consultation to IEA clients.
Assists client with safety project documentation.
Collects and tests samples (radon, lead in water, air, etc.) using appropriate tools and equipment.
Develops and provides safety trainings to individuals and large groups.
Maintains current knowledge and expertise by actively participating in training on principles, methods, and techniques related to hazardous material and health and safety management.
Local travel is required for this job position.
