Teach what you love and become a part-time instructor for Montgomery Parks, part of The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission. Our Park Activation team develops and implements programs that promote a healthy lifestyle and connects residents to parks through unique programming and events.
The successful candidate will host and instruct outdoor classes such as yoga, dancing, and Zumba as well as additional health and wellness initiatives. Work hours may include evenings, and weekends. This is a seasonal (part-time) position and will work up to 10 hours per week.
We are seeking instructors in the following areas:
Mental Wellness (Tai Chi, Yoga, Meditation, etc.)
Dance (Salsa, Waltz, Ballroom, etc.)
Zumba
Fitness (HIIT, Cardio, Strength Training, Stretching, etc.)
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a valid certification in your field.
- Must have a valid CPR/First aid certification.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and at multiple outdoor locations.
- The positions pay at a rate of $15.00/hr to $46.00/hr dependent upon qualifications and experience..
Supplemental Information
- Classes are located countywide.
- All classes will take place outside.
- These positions are seasonal/part-time and do not include a benefit package.
- Hourly rate is based on position, experience, and certifications.
- Selected candidates must have their own transportation.
- Must successfully pass a complete background investigation prior to hire.
- Person(s) hired for this position must provide proof of being fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (with limited religious or medical exceptions).
