Health Information Management Director Job at USA Clinics Group
USA Clinics Group is looking for a HIM Directorto join our team at our Northbrook Corporate Office! USA Clinics Group is a multistate, multispecialty, care provider with over 200 clinics across the nation. The successful candidate will thrive in a high energy, tech savvy, multitasking environment. HIM Director will collaborate with physicians, SVP of Revenue Cycle, and other members of the management team. They will serve as a critical link between providers, payers, and patients. HIM Director will directly oversee and manage the following employees:
- Clinical documentation improvement specialists
- Administrative staff and clerks
Primary Responsibilities:
- HIM director will be responsible for enterprise-wide data integrity, privacy, and security. Some of their primary tasks include the following:
- Implement processes and systems to ensure accurate and complete medical record documentation
- Work with physicians to improve the quality of documentation
- Ensure compliance with state and federal laws and standards related to privacy, security, and record completion
- Track and trend audits and denials from third-party payers and auditors
- Prepare and analyze clinical data for research purposes, process improvement, utilization management, mandatory reporting, and more
- Leand software development opportunities to have leading coding software technology.
- Audit records and data for accuracy, compliance and timeliness. Review results with administration, medical, and clinical staff.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree with specialization in health information administration preferred.
- Four or more years' experience managing/supervising a medical record department required.
