7:30A – 3:30P | Tuesday – Saturday or Sunday – Thursday

3:30P – 11:30P | Tuesday – Saturday or Sunday – Thursday

11:30P – 7:30A | Tuesday – Saturday or Sunday – Thursday

7:30A-3:30P or 3:30P – 11:30P – Saturday & Sunday

Qualifications:

• Required: Clean & valid NYS driver’s license
• Preferred: Experience working with individuals with disabilities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in recreation activities.
• Work directly with residents.
• Provide direct care services for residents, such as toileting, feeding, dressing, sorting of laundry, etc.
• Clean residents’ rooms, vacuum dust, change bed linens, make beds, empty trash buckets, clean bathrooms, do laundry, etc.
• Observe residents’ bodies on a daily basis, if required, and report all physical conditions including hair, nails, sores, insect bites, rashes, etc.
• Report situations/issues involving consumers to proper authorities.
• Positions that require driving includes driving individuals to and from program in AM and/or PM, to medical appointments, recreation outings, or other destinations as needed or requested. *Not all positions require driving!

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to bend, lift and push more than 100 pounds.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Provide hand-over-hand assistance when necessary.

Recruitment/Retention Bonus Program:

New hires accepting this DSP position will be eligible for a recruitment bonus totaling $2,500.00*, based on the following schedule:

• $100 net check after the first day of New Employee Orientation
• $250 net check on the first payday following New Employee Orientation
• $1,000 net check when the new employee passes probation (3 months)
• $1, 150 net check at the end of 6 months of employment

*The bonus will be pro-rated based upon the new hire’s Full-time equivalent (FTE) status at the time the bonus is payable.
