Title: Clinical Research Nurse

The Registered Nurse (RN) brings expert care to members, employees, and participants, wherever they are, through clinical care, assessments, screenings, and education. This role provides care in a variety of settings including, but not limited to, employer sites, member/participant homes, mobile health clinics, and clinical research institutions.

The Registered Nurse (RN) brings expert care to members, employees, and participants, wherever they are, through clinical care, assessments, screenings, and education. This role provides care in a variety of settings including, but not limited to, employer sites, member/participant homes, mobile health clinics, and clinical research institutions.
Responsibilities:
- Perform screenings including medical history, physical exam, medication reconciliation, and education.
- Complete vital signs, history, and review of systems. Implement standing orders with NP or Physician oversight.
- Effectively identify, evaluate, and address the concerns of the member, employee, or participant.
- Administer POC and lab-based testing.
- Administer vaccinations and provide treatment for adverse reactions if needed.
- Administer medications/investigational products via IM, SQ, IV.
- Refer members and participants to PCP, our client’s treating provider, case management, and/or disease management programs as directed.
- Work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders including but not limited to risk & quality teams, staffing, operations, physicians, advanced practitioners, case managers, social workers, caregivers, and any appropriate ancillary medical personnel as appropriate.
- Participate in all mandatory compliance and other training programs, seek guidance for compliance-related concerns, and adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and our client’s policies and procedures.
- Create and maintain clear documentation according to our client’s guidelines and protocols.
- Maintains positive control of all PHI information.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, HIPPA and State Board of Nursing.
- May act as a preceptor for new providers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- LIST Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- Current unrestricted licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state(s) to which the candidate is assigned
- Current BLS certification required
- 1+ years’ experience as a Registered Nurse.
- 1+ years of experience in Clinical Research
- Critical thinking and ability to determine when escalation is appropriate.
- Possess a valid state driver’s license and proof of coverage, and meet the company’s driving and automobile liability insurance standards.
- Proficient computer skills, including e-mail and Microsoft Office.
- Effective written communication skills including but not limited to writing reports and correspondence.
- Requires sitting, bending, stooping, twisting, kneeling, crouching, crawling and/or stretching from seated or standing positions
- Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate medical equipment, keyboard, telephone, copier, calculator and other office equipment
- Requires close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust visual focus, hearing and smelling.
- Must be able to communicate information via telephone or computer
- Requires moderate to intense concentration due to complexity of the job
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
