We’re looking for a Healthcare Specialist III to join the team at our Acute Treatment Unit at 1302 Chinook Lane in Pueblo to work PRN to provide coverage for all shifts including nights.

What You’d Be Doing


As a PRN Healthcare Specialist III at the Acute Treatment Unit, you would play an important role in providing care in a safe and secure environment for our clients experiencing crises. You would be an important member of a small team of professionals working closely with clients to get them the treatment they need, and then support them as they transition back to their home and community. You would assist in the intake process, provide case management services, conduct therapeutic sessions, and actively consult with families and community agencies. Excellent communication, documentation, and electronic record skills would be essential to your success.


Specifically, the PRN Healthcare Specialist III

  • Provides exceptional care for our clients;
  • Provides intake services for clients in crisis;
  • Assists in intake interviewing and the development of treatment plans;
  • Provides case management services;
  • Actively consults with family members and community agencies to support clients;
  • Provides individual and group therapeutic sessions;
  • Assures that the essential needs of clients are met while they are in residence;
  • Offers telephonic crisis intervention;
  • Triages telephone calls;
  • Completes trainings satisfactorily;
  • Assists in maintaining safety of the milieu;
  • Maintains accurate and current records in compliance with Health Solutions’ standards;
  • Uses the electronic health record system effectively;
  • Works assigned shifts that include weekends and holidays; and
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisors.
  • Physical requirements include the following:
  • Frequently stays stationary for prolonged periods of time.
  • Frequently moves within and between facilities.
  • Frequently exposed to stressful or emergent situations.
  • Frequently operates a computer and other office equipment to record health data.
  • Constantly communicates with clients and others.
  • Occasionally moves equipment and/or materials up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasionally drives between Health Solutions facilities or for other assigned duties.

What We’re Looking For—The Must-Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or a closely related field
  • Computer proficiency
  • Valid Colorado driver’s license
  • Access to reliable transportation during work hours
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required upon hire*


What We’d Like to See in You—The Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience successfully working in a mental health-related field
  • Spanish language skills
