HEALTHY AGING SPECIALIST Job at Ellenville Regional Hospital
Position: Healthy Aging Specialist
Duties: Responsible for the execution of the goals and objectives of the Rural Health Network Development Planning Grant Program awarded to Ellenville Regional Hospital’s Rural Health Network. The primary goal of the grant project under which this position is funded, is to improve coordinated and integrated service offerings for aging adults within the service area. This position works closely with the RHN Executive Director to implement grant deliverables, coordinate a Healthy Aging Subcommittee of the Rural Health Network and to aid in network building. This position is grant funded for the duration of the project period.
Hours: Full Time
Salary: $21.50 per hour
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in public health or related field.
- Experience in conducting needs assessments and analyzing results to prioritize the health needs of the target population.
- Experience managing multi-stakeholder initiatives and a dedicated commitment to rural health
- Excellent oral communication skills, both in small group meetings and in large meetings, including the ability to prepare and present effective and compelling presentations
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or applicable exemption required.
- Preferred:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Resident of Wawarsing/Crawford/Mamakating region or someone familiar with the region and available resources
- Experience working with underserved and rural populations
- Customer service, communication, problem-solving, multi-tasking
- Proficient in computer software programs such as Microsoft Office
- CHES Certification preferred but not mandatory
