HHS is seeking the perfect person to add to our team. The ideal candidate is an organized, personable, and passionate team player who enjoys working with high school students to provide them with a great high school athletic experience. This position provides secretarial support, communicating information to staff, the public, and other districts; ensuring compliance with financial, legal, and administrative requirements; overseeing of office activities; and providing information and/or direction as may be requested.


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES (not limited to):

  • Receive and direct athletic office telephone correspondence in a courteous, efficient, and timely manner.
  • Keep all records and documentation in an organized system. Initiate and update all confidential student files.
  • Assist with intial athletic eligibility, track ongoing athletic eligibility - grades and attendance. Track athletic suspensions and team rosters.
  • Monitor all coaches' required certifications.
  • Make all monthly reports as required by the district office and OSAA.
  • Assist with recruitment of game volunteer workers and coordinate athletic photos. Confirm game officials and schedule changes.
  • Professionally prepare correspondence, policies, protocols, procedures, handbooks and reports and circulate as needed.
  • Create game programs and athletic letters.
  • Handle office visitors in a manner requiring the application of considerable knowledge of school district policies.
  • Assist with athletics travel arrangements. Confirm all transportation, schedules, motel reservations, and travel plans for teams and coaches.
  • Assist with purchase of athletic-related equipment.
  • Type 50 or more words a minute and have basic secretarial experience.
  • Additional duties as assigned by building administrator or designee.

Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.


Some classified positions with the Klamath County School District require: an AA Degree from an accredited institution, or Transcripts proving the applicant has completed two (2) years or 72 quarter credit hours or 48 semester credit hours in an institution of Higher Education, or a passing grade on the ETS/Praxis Paraprofessional exam.


Must obtain a CPR and First Aid Training certificates and must also be 21 years of age.

Physical ability to adhere to OSHA and district safety regulations. Work within the district’s communicable disease control plan (blood borne pathogens) and be aware of the existence and potential exposure to hazardous chemicals as identified on the MSDS sheets. Responsibilities include student safety and security.
