High School Boys’ Volleyball Coach

Reports to: Athletic Director

Supervises: Students participating in boys’ volleyball program

Compensation: $1,800.00-$3,700.00/season – commensurate with experience and education

Responsibilities:

• Supervision and coaching of student-athletes at all levels of the program.
• Build sportsmanship, fitness, and excitement in students through effectively coaching volleyball teams.
• Coordinate with the Athletic Director for use of field and facilities.
• Work with Athletic Director and Assistant to the Athletic Director, parents, and coaches to schedule athletic departure times and provide transportation supervision.
• Plan and host award banquets, camps and conditioning events.
• Distribute and collect uniforms.
• Communicate with the Athletic Director about student athlete’s needs, incidents, and all other concerns related to the program.
• Communicate with coaching staff, athletes, parents, and community.
• Knowledge of CHSAA rules for High School volleyball.
• Program fundraising
• Will follow league, district, and CHSAA policies and regulations.
• Provide accurate and feasible budget information to Athletic Director.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Applicants must have a minimum of one-year experience coaching high school aged young adults. Must complete the CHSAA coaching form, pass CHSAA’s coaching test (please see https://chsaanow.com/sports/2021/7/29/coaches-corner.aspx for more information), and go through CHSAA’s concussion training. Applicants must be able to successfully pass a background check performed by the school.
