Edwardsburg Public Schools a National Blue Ribbon district is accepting applications for a dynamic, energetic High School Science Teacher who maintains a positive learning environment, effectively holds high academic expectations, creates a student-centered classroom while building rapport with students, parents, and staff to teach Science with an emphasis on

Chemistry. Coaching and extra-curricular options are available.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A. Valid Michigan teaching certificate – High School Endorsements of
Science (DX, DI, or DC).

B. Must meet NCLB certification requirements
C. Ability to relate positively with students, teachers and parents

D. Ability to work with other professionals in a collaborative manner
E. High level of interpersonal skills to communicate verbally and in writing

F. Proficiency in Google Environment

DUTIES:
A. Plan and deliver the Michigan Academic Standards using evidence- based instructional strategies
B. Provide and maintain an orderly classroom environment

C. Possess a working knowledge of formative and summative assessment strategies that align with the Michigan Academic Standards and can be used to monitor student achievement and growth
D. Work independently and cooperatively in all aspects of the job

E. Perform other duties as assigned by administrator
F. Experience with Google Classroom a plus
