College Living Experience (CLE) is seeking to hire tutors able to support students with disabilities in college-level courses in the following disciplines:
- Technical courses (mathematics, chemistry, and science)
- Executive Functioning & Organizational Skills
- Instructional Strategies & Study Skills
- Basic Computer & Technology Skills
Summary of Company / Student Population: College Living Experience supports young adults with varying exceptionalities to prepare for life as independent adults. The CLE Program includes educational support services, training in independent living skills and social skills, and support services for transitioning into the workforce. Young adults with autism, Asperger's, learning disabilities, traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy and other special needs can successfully transition to independent adulthood with tailored support provided by CLE. With new-found skills and a degree or certificate in hand, our students find meaningful work and relationships as independent adults.
Summary of Position: This position is primarily responsible for providing comprehensive, effective instruction to assigned student(s) in the applicable subject matter, evaluating the student's needs and tailoring the tutoring session to accommodate those needs. Tutor will be able to review the course syllabus with the student to determine a timeline for covering the necessary material throughout the semester. The tutor will also be responsible for documenting the session into an internal database system at the conclusion of each day, as outlined by the policies of our center. Tutors may be required to take on additional responsibilities at the request of the supervisor, such as assisting students with purchasing textbooks and/or coordinating student meetings with professors.

Additional Requirements:
Education and/or experience: This position requires the candidate to hold a Bachelor's degree in applicable field or other related area with two years of relevant experience, preferably working with special needs students and be able to tutor students in college level courses. Master's degree preferred. The right candidate will also demonstrate a strong belief in the core commitments of our organization.
Skills: Proficiency is required in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
