7a-7p

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Pass a Criminal Background Check and Finger Printing
• Valid MI driver’s license, reliable transportation
• High School Diploma or GED
• Physical and negative TB test prior to working with residents
• Current and competent in CPR, First Aid
• Organized and Prioritize Tasks
• High level motivational skills
• Responsible/reliable - MUST NOT BE LATE TO WORK
• MUST BE LOVING AND COMPASSIONATE
• Ability and willingness to learn new skills
• Ability to set priorities
• Willingness to be a team player
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Must be able to work varied shifts and days

Primary duties and responsibilities:

• Ensures that the residents’ rights are maintained at all times
• Performs routine charting and recording of activities as assigned
• Remains current in CPR, First Aid
• Must be able to transfer patients
• Assist resident to take prescribed medications as necessary
• Assisting and/or providing care for residents (bathing, dressing, etc.)
• Must be able to effectively handle aggressive resident behavior on a verbal and emotional level
• Assesses emergency situations, takes appropriate action to ensure the safety of residents and staff
• Implement and supervise leisure time activities with individuals and the group
• Supervise residents in the community with shopping, appointments and personal activities
• Treat residents and co-workers with dignity and respect at all times.
• Completes all household tasks as assigned per shift
• All other duties as assigned by management

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
