Sarah’s…an Oasis for Women is a home dedicated to the safety and dignity of a diverse community of women who have survived violence, abuse, torture, war, discrimination, and trauma. The residents of Sarah’s begin new and productive lives through programs that build self-esteem, self-sufficiency, confidence, determination, and community.
As a Home Attendant at Sarah’s… an Oasis for Women you will ensure the safety and well-being of residents while maintaining the cleanliness of the home. You provide a listening ear and are there for support for the residents. You will be responsible for household duties including laundry, vacuuming / floor care, sweeping / mopping, cleaning kitchen and trash removal. Assist with food deliveries and be able to lift 30- 50 lbs.
You have the ability to respond effectively to conflicts and emergencies. Clear communication by phone, in person and in writing.
Previous experience working with trauma survivors with diverse backgrounds and language skills. Must maintain confidentiality and appropriate relationship boundaries. Experience with housekeeping duties.
This is an hourly position that is eligible for St. Paul Safe & Sick Time. Holiday pay when working a holiday. Free parking on site. Overtime. Evening and weekend shift differential.
Schedule: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday 6:30 pm – 11:30 pm
Pay: $18.00 / hour
