Job Title/Position: Community Relations Sales Manager

Reports To: Community Relations Director

Job Description Summary:

Responsible for promoting and educating the home health care services to various communities, healthcare organizations, hospitals, physicians and other healthcare providers. Responsible for grassroots efforts, develop relationships, and act as a liaison with local community organizations, key community leaders, clients, patients, and media organizations to promote company’s role as a home health care service provider.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain tactical database by identifying, assembling and entering professional referral sources information; prepares data for utilization by Marketing Managers to promote business development and identify growth opportunities.
  • Support and implement strategic planning and marketing efforts for Medicare, Insurance and Medicaid services. This includes providing appropriate and accurate technical information while maintaining excellent customer service, increasing physician and community awareness of the service line, remaining current on new technology and marketplace trends related to service line;
  • Develop, refine, and execute entire community outreach process; Serves community outreach/education and professional education efforts by serving as the central point of contact, executing outreach initiatives and maintaining calendar; compiles data to evaluate effectiveness and works with colleagues to guide the process.
  • Ensure high attendance rates in speaking engagements by physicians, nurses, and other medical specialists by designing programs in conjunction with home healthcare;
  • Coordinate all market research data collection for company: develops and updates key client profiles, develops and updates competitor profiles, collects relevant data from sources such as Medicare, industry trade organizations, city and county planning organizations and state agencies.
  • Setting referral goals for each month, quarter and year and monitor progress by filling up weekly and monthly referral monitoring record.
  • Evaluates patients in the facilities referred to home health and educate them the scope of services per Medicare and insurance guideline.
  • Completes referral information and gather discharge information needed for home health services as per Medicare and insurance guideline.
  • Collaborates with the hospital’s discharge planning personnel, utilization review department and insurance Case Managers to facilitate safe discharge.
  • Assist in ordering patient for home health DME supplies and set up doctors appointment within 7 to 14 days after discharge.
  • Provide telephone, fax, email and written support in connection with home health care service and identify and record adverse events and client/patient complaints; Work closely with internal and external client/patient contacts including members of client/patient management to resolve complex client/patient issues;
  • Collaborates with Quality Improvement to promote business development by gathering survey results and sharing information to determine growth opportunities.
  • Build an understanding and maintaining knowledge of managed care issues, Medicare, Medicaid laws, rights, and delivery of services among the community, the patients, and other healthcare providers;
  • Maintains comprehensive working knowledge of community resources and assists customers in accessing community resources should services not be provided by Assure Home Healthcare, Inc.
  • Monitors and reports cost-effectiveness of marketing efforts.

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; LPN is a plus. At least three (3) years experience in health care marketing, preferably in home care operations. At least one (1) year experience in sales is preferred.
  • Ability to market aggressively and deal tactfully with customers and the community.
  • Knowledge of home health.
  • Demonstrates excellent communications, negotiation, and public relations skills.
  • Demonstrates autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility and cooperation in performing job responsibilities.

Experience in healthcare sales is a plus**

Base Salary of $40K with uncapped compensation
