What You Will Be Doing*

The Home Health Sales Representative role is a performance based healthcare sales position accountable for generating new referrals as well as maintaining existing referrals from target prospects and current accounts within the assigned territory. The Home Health Sales Representative’s primary referral sources will include physician offices, skilled nursing facilities, assisted livings and hospitals. This role will proactively identify opportunities for growth as well as work closely with operational and clinical leadership in the development of the region to ensure the fulfillment of the quality commitments of Lorian Health.

The qualified applicant will be resourceful, creative, and skilled in conflict resolution, problem solving, and a prospecting.. The ability to instill confidence and trust in referring doctors and patients is a must! The right fit for this role will be able to share examples of these skill sets put into practice in real life experiences during the interview process. Existing relationships with key decision makers and a book of business is a huge plus.

Position requirements:

  • Demonstrated growth results and an understanding of referral patterns within the service territory. Demonstrated ability to work closely with a variety of people while effectively using problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency/knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe and other business applications as well as experience in using a CRM to manage daily sales call activities.
  • The success of the Home Health Sales Representative will be measured primarily by the Provider relationships that result in home health care referrals, and patient interactions that result in admissions. This position will participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and monthly sales/marketing meetings conducted by the Director of Sales, Marketing and Development.
  • Be comfortable engaging with physician and an ability to secure Face-to-Face documentation from referral sources as directed
  • Desire to engage and assist patients, co-workers, and referral sources in resolving issues/concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years sales experience in healthcare (Home Health background is preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of local medical community
  • Home Health, Hospice, or Skilled Nursing Facility experience is highly preferred.

Educational requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field or five years previous sales or business development experience in home health or other related healthcare industries is required.
