PROFESSIONAL GARDENER - Garden Maintenance & Installation

M. ERBS Fine gardens is a well-established landscape design and build firm specializing in high-end residential landscapes. Our creative team of designers, office staff, and gardeners construct and maintain a wide variety of properties throughout Northern New Jersey. We are seeking a passionate experienced horticulturist to join our garden installation and maintenance team.

Our professional gardeners work with a team that is responsible for recurrent property visits and garden installation.

The position requires a good working knowledge of plant ID, garden maintenance procedures, understanding of current planting practice, and proper pruning techniques. We work in a variety of gardens styles from formal to natural. We don't spray but experience with IPM is a plus.

The right candidate should enjoy working with plants, be energetic, proactive, creative and outgoing. Artistic hobbies are a plus.

This is a full-time position and we report daily to our yard in Boonton, N.J. at 8:00 AM.

Desired Qualifications:

• A positive attitude and good customer service skills
• The ability to work outside in all types of weather
• The ability to carry 50+ lbs
• Work long hours during the busy season
• Clear driver’s license and background
• Fill out and maintain records including time and materials
• Dump truck and trailer experience a plus

Compensation: Competitive, 401k with employer match
